Masala French Toast


French toast aren't always sweet. It comes both in sweet and savory version but the later didn't get much attention as their sweet partner. Masala french toast are ideal for breakfast and as tea time snack. Use a day old bread for a best version of french toast, as they able to coat the egg custard mixture perfectly.

I made this masala french toast with grated carrot,coriander leaves,curry leaves,chopped onion. You can use grated beet,chives,ginger,chopped cauliflower or any vegetables you desire. .The masala powders add a beautiful flavor to the toast. One of a great way to slip vegetables in your kid's meal, Serve hot with ketchup



Ingredients

3 bread slices
2 eggs
1 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
1 sprig curry leaves,chopped
2 tbsp chopped onion
1 clove garlic
2 tbsp grated carrots
1/4 tsp cumin powder
1/2 tsp red chilly powder
1/4 tsp chaat masala
1 tbsp chilly chopped
Pinch of salt
1/4 cup milk
1 tbsp butter


Methods

In a big bowl, whisk together milk,egg,cumin powder,red chilly powder,chaat masala and salt.

Add coriander leaves,chopped onion,garlic,grated carrots and curry leaves.

Heat frying pan and melt butter.

Dip the bread slices into the egg mixture.

Place the bread slices on the frying pan and cook for 1 minute.

Flip and cook for another 1 minute or till golden

Remove from heat.

Serve hot
